Additionally, Iceland‘s child protection officers can be reached through 112. 112 can be reached anywhere in Iceland, from any telephone, by voice or by SMS around-the-clock, all year around.

    Reception Doctors within the Smáratorgi is open outside normal working hours all year round and is manned by experts in medicine. Everyone is free to utilize the services of Doctors within and no need appointment. On weekdays is open from 17:00 to 23:30 and on weekends from 9:00 to 23.30.

    Tannlaeknavaktin is the dental emergency care in Reykjavik. The patient services provided is limited to the urgent condition, and follow-up dental care is suggested to be completed at another time. Appointments are scheduled on a day-by-day basis and availability. Opening hours are 8-22 every day of the week.

  • Red Cross 24-hour Helpline

    The Red Cross Helpline is a toll-free number open 24 hours a day for those who need assistance due to grief, anxiety, fear, depression and/or suicidal thoughts. Red Cross volunteers offer immediate emotional support to those who feel distressed or lonely, and when needed provide information on how to receive further assistance.
